Give your dog a chance to try out real Agility equipment & see if he would like the sport. Paws in Motion is offering a one-time Agility Intro session which will introduce your dog to the Dog-walk, A-frame, See-Saw, Bar Jump, Tire Jump, Open Tunnel and Weave Poles. Instructor: Tracy Hanna
TRICKS: Sunday, Oct 8th, 12:00 pm. Cost is $30 for the one-time workshop
This Workshop consists of teaching your dog several simple tricks, such as Wave, Walk Back, Sit Up, Weave Thru your Legs, Hide your face, Roll Over, Play Dead, Spin. Those dogs that have already learned these tricks can work on advancing their proficiency or they could work on more advanced tricks like Ring a bell, Jump thru a Hoop, Peek a Boo, Say Your Prayers & more. Teaching Tricks is good way for teaching your dog step by step activities to engage, challenge and bond with your dog. You also have an opportunity to earn AKC titles & certificates if your dog passes the AKC Trick tests the following Sunday. Requirements for the tests will be covered. Instructor: Tracy Hanna
Sunday October 15th, 10:30 am: Starting with Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test
If there’s time & interest, we will also offer an advanced CGC (Community Canine) Test following the CGC Test. After the CGC & Advanced CGC tests, we will offer Trick titling tests.
CGC Certification Test performed by an AKC approved evaluator.
Cost $20 for the Test (fee does not include the AKC fee to record your CGC title)
Graduates of Paws in Motion’s CGC/Therapy Skills class will receive a $5 discount off the CGC test.
Test Description: There are 10 separate tests in the CGC.
1-Accepting a friendly stranger
2-Sitting politely for petting
3-Appearance & Grooming
4-Walking on a loose leash
5-Walking through a crowd
6-Sit & Down on command/Stay in place
7-Come when called
8-Reaction to another dog
9-Reactions to distractions
10-Supervised Separation

Sunday October 15th, following the CGC Tests:
If there’s interest and enough, we will also offer a Community Canine Test (aka Advanced CGC Test)
There are pre-requisites to earn the CGCA title. The dog must:
1) be registered or listed with AKC (AKC number, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners number) AND,
2) already have a Canine Good Citizen award/title on record. The CGC and CGCA tests cannot be earned on the same day.
Dogs must pass all 10 items of the test to receive the CGCA title.
1. Dog stands, sits or lies down and waits under control
2. Walks on a loose leash in a natural situation (not in a ring)–does not pull.
3. Walks on loose leash through a crowd
4. Dog walks past distraction dogs present; does not pull.
5. Sit–stay in small group (3 other people with dogs).
6. Dog allows person who is carrying something (backpack, computer bag, etc.) to approach and pet it.
7. “Leave it.” Dog walks by food and follows owner instructions, “Leave it.”
8. Down or sit stay–distance (owner’s choice).
9. Recall with distractions present (coming when called). Handler goes out 20–ft. (off center) and calls dog.
10. Dog will sit or stand stay (owner’s choice) while owner enters/exits a doorway or narrow passageway. Owner calls dog through door when ready.

Sunday October 15th, after the CGC & Adv CGC Tests:
Trick Dog Novice, Intermediate & Advanced Level Tests
Cost: $15 for first Test, $10 each subsequent level on the same day ($5 discount for CGC Title holders)
NOVICE TRICK DOG (TKN)
The dog performs 10 skills from the Novice list. If a dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice tricks (CGC + 5) to earn the Novice title.
INTERMEDIATE TRICK DOG (TKI)
The dog must have the Novice title, plus perform 10 Intermediate tricks.
ADVANCED TRICK DOG (TKA)
The dog must have the Intermediate title, plus perform 5 tricks from the Advanced list.

We will have the following props available: Jump, Tunnel, Table/Platform, Balance Beam, Seesaw, Weave Poles. Be prepared to bring any other required props for your tricks.

Most Saturdays: Utility Practice (8:00 – 9:00 am) Open Competition Prep (9:30-10:30 am); Novice Obedience Competition Prep (10:30-11:30 am); Rally Coursework (11:30 am-12:30 pm) $15 for one class or two with one dog for $25 (discount not available for Utility). Tuesdays: CONFORMATION PRACTICE: 7:15 – 8:15 pm, $10 pay as you go. No reservations required, but call or email if attending for your first time. Practice gaiting, stacking and showing off your dog’s best traits as your dog gets accustomed to the conformation environment. George loves to work with new handlers and dogs to teach them how to show well & with joy! He is very good at bringing out the best in dogs & handlers. Instructor: George Griffin
