CANINE FITNESS Seminar —  Sunday, February 25th, 11:30 am-2:30 pm
 
This 3-hour seminar is for those interested in understanding proper canine exercise form, technique, and behavior for optimum performance and injury prevention using science based training methods and canine-specific conditioning equipment. Whether your goal for your dog is better athletic performance, conditioning, increased mobility, better mental focus, or just general fitness, this course will teach you exercises appropriate to your dog’s level.  Instructor: Rosie Feeley, Certified Canine Fitness Trainer
All participants will leave with a set of exercises to continue the work on your own.  Fitness exercises are a great way to exercise your dog in the comfort of your home!

Maximum 8 working spots, $75 ($65 current students); auditing spots available for $45 ($40 current students).

OBEDIENCE CLASSES:  Six-week course, $125.

Whether you just want your dog to be a great companion or hope to start him on the road to competitive dog sports, you’ll need the Basics & more. Encourage your friends and neighbors to train their dogs.  It makes for a nice canine community as well as enriching the lives of both human & canine.
BASIC OBEDIENCE (includes Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Come, Walk on lead, Leave it & Take it Nicely) Whether you are just getting started or need to solidify these basic skills, a group class can help teach your dog to be responsive to your cues in any setting. Saturdays, 2:30-3:30 pm starting February 24th
BEYOND BASIC (includes practicing above skills adding duration, distractions & distance, plus Heeling, Fronts, Finishes and introduction to off-leash work) Saturdays 4:00 – 5:00 pm starting February 24th
LEVEL 3 OBEDIENCE (includes preparation for Obedience & Rally competition. Instructor approval required) Saturdays 5:00 – 6:00 pm

Also, these classes are On-going:
Most Saturdays: Utility Practice (8:00 – 9:00 am) Open Competition Prep (9:30-10:30 am); Novice Obedience Competition Prep (10:30-11:30 am); Rally Coursework (11:30 am-12:30 pm) $15 for one class or two with one dog for $25 (discount not available for Utility). Reservations required – online sign-ups are enabled or email to reserve your spot.  Instructor: Jackie Kurzban

Tuesdays: CONFORMATION PRACTICE: 7:15 – 8:15 pm, $10 pay as you go.  No reservations required, but call or email if attending for your first time. Practice gaiting, stacking and showing off your dog’s best traits as your dog gets accustomed to the conformation environment.  George loves to work with new handlers and dogs to teach them how to show well & with joy!  He is very good at bringing out the best in dogs & handlers. Sundays:  CONFORMATION HANDLING: 10:00 – 11:30 am, $20 pay as you go.  Reservations required – email for more info. Learn ring procedure, handling tips and how to emphasize your dog’s best traits as your dog gets accustomed to the conformation environment.  George will offer more one-on-one time is this small group class which is perfect for new handlers or new dogs.  Learn how to gait, stack and show your dog with panache!  Instructor:  George Griffin.  Class may start earlier or may be cancelled on February 25th and April 1st to accommodate the Fitness Seminars
